i have a 07 6.7 i bought in april of 07...i pull a toy hauler with a 14ft trailer to the races 3 weekends a month..most of the time i drive over 500 miles to and back from a race...i never had a problem till i realized if i drove 55 i got no less than 13mpg compared to 10mpg drive'n 70....pull'n the camper...after a few months of drive'n like that i had the service engine light come on so i took it in...i got the ear fool about how my dpf was clogged etc etc...however...this service guy showed me how the computer said i was drive'n...i was told by him that these motors like to be driven at 2300 to 2500 rmp..i keep a close eye on my milage cause every bit helps drive'n so far....since then i drive 55 till i see the milage goin down...then i drop it to 5th gear and drive for a hour or so ..knock on wood..everytime its gotten better...from what i understand...there's two types of gen's one that shoots gas in the exaust to help heat it......i've heard a few of you talk about bein able to bypass the gen....where can i find info on it....thanks..Jeff
