I understand everyones frustrations with the issues. But you guys are smoking the curtains if you think the EPA is going to back off on their requirements or that Dodge is going to not void warranty or approve you to remove or modify EPA mandated devices. It will not happen. Ever.
Especially when it's a relative minority of all of the vehicle owners (when you consider non-diesel vehicles) who are having these problems.
I still believe there is a technical solution possible from Dodge to address these problems. My wife has a 2007 Mercedes ML320 turbo diesel. It has the same blue-tech emission system (Dodge got it from MB) our trucks have and it runs great. Never had a CEL of any type and it gets 32 mpg on the hwy.
If Dodge doesn't come out with a fix for these trucks it will probably be because it would cost them too much to retrofit all that are out there.
The way things are going they will be dropping their truck production to a fraction of what it is today and they are more concerned about not spending mega millions at a time when that could push them into bankruptcy.
