Light has nothing to do with viscosity. It set to some perimeters that were messed up from the factory. The later flashes addressed the issue. You can reset it by turning key to on position and pumping the go pedal to the floor and back three times then turning the key back off. If the light really did work to the vicosity of the oil then the light would turn right back on, but it doesn't. You should be good to go on the first oil change at 5000 miles.
