First of all the mechanic in the dealership can get any warranty work done that he deems he wants to by going through the correct steps...and the good mechanics know how to do this....second star and chrysler people handling these issues know less about the trucks then we do...thirdly and the part they don't tell you is that dealerships are actually held to a higher standard from doing less warranty work...they are dinged for doing warranty work past a certain amount that chrysler deems ordinary. This is from chrysler themselves whom I spoke with. It all comes down to the people wanting to work with the customers....no matter what the customer is right....we spent our hard earned money on these things....I would think you would want to take care of this....without us....the customers none of you have jobs...seems like we are the last ones taken care of...and we should feel special you allow us to buy the vehicle and even enter your establishment. Just imagine if it were your truck the next time you are treating a customer as a child ...saying you cannot do anything....nothing else you can do but apologize ....and you realize there is a problem.....NO you do not because you are not addressing it....this is not acceptable.
