Interesting, I see many things mentioning a 'life of the system'.... Looks like it's somewhere around 10 years or 100,000 miles for our trucks. I wonder if that means it's not required to function after 100,000 miles? I'm not up on emissions testing, but they used to have it in the tri-county area here in MI, and someone told me there was an exemption for cars over a certain age/mileage. I've also been told there was an exemption if it was going to cost over 'X' amount of dollars to make the vehicle compliant.

I still think that one of the better arguments is that the system that's on the '07.5 and later 6.7L is not _required_ until 2010. They can probably make you try and pass '07 standards, but I think if I got caught trying to mess with something that's not required by law until 2010, I'd take it to jury trial and let the people decide...
