but your alternator spins all the time weather the regulator puts out energy or not so if you harness the unutilized energy of spinning alternator, use it for the on board electrolyzer it captures the waste energy by breaking water and feeding the explosive gas through the air intake, which theoretically aids in the combustion process. We built 1 out of reg stainless steel wall plates and 4" pvc fittings, make sure you incorporate some kind of blow of top or bubbler so you dont explode the electrolyzer(hydrogen is a very explosive gas). Its added about a 6% efficiency on a regular gas engine, supposedly its better suited for diesels and it only took about $150 to build look up smack booster on you tube. As to the effects it has on the engine its debatable, but I think compression ignition creates more pressure and diesels are designed for it.
