Your 48RE transmission is much better internally than the old 47RE was. It can handle the 450HP no problem with a simple Valve Body and Torque Convertor upgrade. The BD Valve Body will increase the clutch apply pressure to insure the clutches will not slip and create a much better shift. The stock convertor is just plain and simply junk, its too loose, a BD Low Stall, Multi-Disk Convertor prevent slippage. The lower stall convertor will put you back in the peak torque range of the engine and will result in more power transferred to the rear tires and better fuel economy while city driving in stop a go traffic.
