1997 Dodge cummins automatic shifting funky.
I have a 1997 dodge cummins automatic. Just gought the truck and it shifts funky. If you hold it on the floor it seems to take forever for it to shift. Finally it will shift usually. If you lift your foot off the throttle a little it shifts. Same on the highway. When its in 3rd it will not shift to overdrive forever and when you lift your foot a little it shifts. Someone said govenor silinoids go bad. Will that cause this problem? How hard is that to change? Or do I have something else going on?
