Kerosene will destroy your injection pump over time. The fuel lubricates the pump, and Kerosene has virtually no lubricity. The energy content difference is negligible, but there IS a way to reliably, economically run it. Mix some biodiesel in it. Bio is like the DEFINITION of lubricity. Two stroke oil will work, but it's expensive. I just bought a 6 pack for $18, which is 6 pints. $18 will get you about 4 GALLONS of biodiesel. Of course kerosene is illegal to run in an on road vehicle, but hard to get caught if it's not died red. Beware of experimenting with other lubricity liquids, some will "coke up" your injectors. For instance automatic transmission oil.
