One more thing you guys that have not done this yet will notice is that the truck shuts down like the older ones now. It used to just shut down really fast. It now kinda rumbles to a slower shut down with the EGR. That and no more smoke are the only two diff's i noticed doing it. Now I just need to start with the oil changes and clear up the oil a little.
I have 46,000 miles on my truck now and I wish i did this the day I took it off the lot. You will want to throw up when you see how much carbon and soot are in the intake horn and going into the motore. That EGR is the DEVIL!!!!!

I have 32000 on my truck and it has been in the shop with CEL once a week for the last 4 weeks. I have to do something. SHould I delete the DPF first and them the EGR valve? Is it best to do them at one time? Is the Edge needed or can I do this without it?
Oh, by the way... awsome work on documenting! I printed the entire procedure. Thanks!!!

You should do the DPF first. You dont need the edge but its helpful, you will always have a CEL on with out the edge so you will not be able to tell when you have a real trouble code as opposed to the soft codes of the deletes.

i have noticed you have to sign releases to get the dpf delete kits... how, what, fines, etc. could the fed's do if they started watching this stuff or should i really worry about it?
so far not many people have even been questioned about it. I imagine as time goes by they will crackdown more and more, starting in the more populated areas.

i was kinda wondering about the knock noise people are talking about when removing the egr, or at low rpms..... i just am now getting all of my pf crap figured out with the dealer and the reasoning of why my truck was losing fuel pressure, and then shooting too much fuel pressure.. i get my truck back tomorrow with a new pf and what not, but i want to cruise around for a week or so before i fiiiinally get to install my delete which ive had for a month now just sitting in the bed of my truck.
what would you say the time would be on deleting the egr?
I havent heard about anyone getting "caught" yet. Its not like i am hiding it. Most delete the EGR right after/with the DPF delete. I would get the DPF delete on and take it for a drive. If everything is good then try the EGR.
