I thought i would post this up since i keep noticing posts talking about about certain functions not working. Heres a brief walk through on how to turn on any of the functions.
1)Get in vehicle close door and insert key
2)Turn key to run position to power up PMT, DO NOT START VEHICLE.
3)Select Menu
4)Select "Special Functions"
5)Select the option you wish to enable, say we selected "High Idle"
6)All functions should be on enable by default,toggle to disable and then back to enable.
7)Return to Main PMT screen and turn key to off position.
8)Remove key and open door.
9)Now you can start the vehicle and your function should work

Hot Damn! I've been under the impression you could only get it to work if the dealer had enabled it with the Starscan. I've gone through all sorts of different enabling tries with different sequences and it never worked until now. Maybe I never did it in this particular sequence, or maybe it's the XOP version, but I have manual high idle now. Thanks much MH ...SC
ok, now I want a PMT. I have been thinking of making the switch anyway. If any of you have read some of the other high idle posts I have had a time with my dealer enabling it for me. It still hasn't been enabled. I read the posts about the performance difference difference in the two. I think this may have made my decision for me. This may be a stupid question, but could you use someone else's PMT to enable the high idle and still use the edge or does the PMT VIN lock?
