Cat restriction

I just ordered my dpf delete the other day and I only got the delete pipe and module. From what I understand the catalytic converter is in the downpipe, which I am not replacing right now. How restrictive is the catalytic converter and would it make a significant difference in performance, egts or amount of smoke if I replaced the downpipe too?

It looks like a standard Cat from earlier years. The more soot you put in it the more it will restrict. Not really sure how much higher EGTs will be but they will be higher with it then without. Same with MPGs and Performance. Its better removed but shouldnt matter if not.
