Exclamation 6.7 DPF Delete...Catalyst Full

Yeah so I got rid of the DPF and straight piped my truck. I saw quite an improvement in responsiveness. Until the catalyst went to 100% full...now the truck is defueling and I only get 18 psi of boost max. Anyone know a way of resetting the catalyst to read 0%...and/or which sensor I need to unplug. Any help would be great.

Not a sensor issue - the truck will assume DPF is full if it has not regened in so many miles. No DPF = no regen = catalyst full.

I expect this would be an ECU reprogramming issue.

Stack chips, Bully Dog and TS Perf or Edge and it will run good for now. We have been trying to get rid of the catalyst full reading for a long time now and to no avail, nothing works. It went down to 70% once and the truck ran great, but went back up to 100% in a day or so.

Ok guys, this shouldn't be to hard to figure out. Does anybody have the software to properly log data from our trucks like onto a laptop? Once this is done, and you can tell when the truck is in regen and when it is not, you can tell the voltages from the sensors. All you need to do is wire up a set of two resistors for each of the sensors. The switch needs to be a three way style so it has one off and two on positions. On one of the "on" positions you need to put the non-regen resistor values in line. On the other "on" position put resistors for the regen settings. When your truck thinks it needs to regen simply flip the switch let it do its thing, and then switch it off after a time. If you can't log the data, then you need to splice into the sense lines of each sensor individually, and see the values with a meter. Which could take some time.

I HATE DODGE!!! Why can't they make it as easy to hack into as Duramax!!! I have a Cummins Data log box in my truck. We can get into the box... but???? The data doesnt' mean anything .... YET! Nothin but 1's and 0's.... no link to what any of it means?

Just my .02 but if you fool the computer into thinking there is a dpf on your truck but there is not one. Then it needs to regen anyway due to time frame. Then you fool it to regen anyway without a dpf what about all the raw fuel going into the exhaust. Hot exhaust raw fuel cool air at exit equals flame thrower.

As far as reading the computer you will need to know the data link speed. Do the cummins ecm use the same data link as the big truck engines i know the computers look similar.

If so then cummins truck engines use J1708 or J1939. If that is the case then a pdm magic key will work for a translator. Then the question is what computer software will talk with the ecm. Cummins uses insight software on the big truck engines.

PDM MagiKey won't talk 500K CAN just 250k. IIRC the 6.7 went up to CAN2 500kbps.

You would need a Softing GmbH CanCardII or similar interface. Or mongoose cable which is much cheaper.. But still you aren't going to be able to do anything without software.

you guys should seriously consider just buying the DPF delete from H&S. They've got the regen issues sewed up.

They do? From what I have read they still have some codes being thrown and they still go into regen every once in awhile.
