I asked them about some sort of "normally on" option, and they said there is no way right now. I would think it would be an easy software fix. Wonder if DC will come out with an update for it?

I am getting some information from you. Just had dodge spend 23,000 of their own $$$ repairing my buddies new truck. turbo is insufficient and several other issues. I have several 3rd gens and would not even consider a 6.7 for at least 3 years. Heck, will probably be buying as many 04-06 as possible over the next year.

the old saying...

It has been said you never buy a first year product... from everything I am hearing sounds like the new 6.7 is really a new powerchoke....

Good thing is you can still find lots of great 04 - 06 out there that have been traded in with under 100K on them for pennies on the dollar.

Angry poor mileage

HI guys, bought o7 mega 6.7 6speed auto ----i was wondering what others are getting for fuel mileage. I have about 6000 miles 37" rubber and getting 10 mpg on the highway and pulling my 12000lb trailer 8mpg. I was expecting 20 highway and 15 pulling. the truck is great runs fine and has good power ----passes everything but the gas station.

give it about 40,000 miles to break in. then expect an honest 13.4 pulling my fleet averages 12.8 mpg loaded at 24,500 average weight.

I like to call it "a fuel stop".....lol
have friends that have done about everything wrong. Put diesel in the 40 Packard ( full tank ! ), and , same guy......full tank, hi-test, in his Dodge 5.9..and , he is a Chrysler retired Plant manager guy ! ( waiting now for his 08 6.7 )

I get 48 mpg on my jetta tdi, at 85 mph cruise control..
For that matter , I just tonight filled up my Toyota FJ cruiser, first full tank, and got 24 mpg !.This thing is more fun to drive than my 6.7............and at 4400 lbs , its no small car. Small only in WB.

I always went to Cummins with my 8.3. They know their stuff. I will use them for the Dodge if I have problems , and , when it gets older. Got 3000 miles on it now , no problems yet..........I did replace the muffler with a thru pipe, just a matter of time before everyone will be trashing the filter and cat, I see it coming !

My 6.7 is a whole six months with 9000km (5500miles). I came home during a snowstorm and went back out to start it, and it ran ruff, no throttle response, then stalled. Had it towed to the dealership where the blamed it on my remote start, but for good measures they flashed the computer and it's been 1000km (650 miles) with no problem. Hopefully this doesn't happen when I am in the bush at -20 or -30 degress celcius.
