tranny question

A quick question looking for input
I have an 07 6.7 with a 6spd auto used for a hot shot business towing 4 days a week currently 130k plus miles looking for what type of tranny service I should do
One mechanic says tranny flush with better fluid reinstalled $150 plus fluid
Another mechanic says drop the pan replace the filter and replace the fluid $130
any suggestions from high mileage drivers out there
Not to worried about the cost just want the truck to keep running and pulling strong

I would suggest drop the pan method. its said that tranny flushes stir up the metal filings and send them into unwanted areas which in turn could cause tranny failure. some will beg to differ, just my personal experiences

IF you have never done a full flush I probably would not do a full flush now. Reason being is. The oil in your tranny is thicker then new fluid. The seals and orings are going to probably be a bit more wore then if you would have flushed every 50k miles. So if you replace all of the Oil which I think is about 4 gallons with new thinner oil you may start to feel some slippage. The thinner oil could bypass the worn seals and orings. So I would just drop the pan and change the two filters. Make sure the screw on is tight as a few guys burnt up there TC from the filter spinning off.
