dissapointed in smoke switch.
ok yall, got my smoke switch wired up with a 1 watt 100 ohm resistor and 2 10 ohm resistors. The truck is a 6 speed and the only time I get ANY smoke is 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear running thru em. and I got a little puff when I step on it at idle. did i do something wrong??? or is this just as good as it gets?

so the edge is my problem? from the research I have on here it seems that everyone is getting way more smoke than I am? Let me clear up that I am not out just looking for smoke. There is a right time and place for pouring smoke. It just so happens that alot of people I know are what I call cummins haters. they say cummins is junk, yada yada yada.

My truck actually smokes less running the xrt than the smarty, but I don't really care about smoke because its just wasted fuel. Each to his own though.

Mine works great. Im using a 10 watt 100 ohm. Are you lugging it or trying to run through the gears? It works best to flip the switch when boost is as low as possible. I usually shift up two gears and flip the switch while the clutch is in, then clutch out and step on it. The smoke pours out. The lower the rpms the better. Sorry if you already knew all that.

MP-8 makes it black as coal on demand. crank it up and drop the hammer, you'll see.

a quote from patracy... "If you really want your truck to role coal; get an old tire, throw it in the back of your truck and light it on fire..." Mike
