grid heater help

if some can help me i dont have enought money for a grid heater delete because i bought a bod intake horn and i relized the the grid heater it self is very restrictive to...my question is can u remove the the little bars in the grid right where the intake connect and unplug the postive wire so it dosent generate heat?

I dont see why not... If there isnt anything blocking the passage then there is no problem... Unless the computer see's its unplugged??

You can for sure. It can be a pain though. The bolts are staked and tear up the threads in the grid heater mounting bosses on the way out. If you really want to improve flow I would cut the mounting bosses out too.

Should I also keep the power to grid heater here off and will I throw any codes

No codes that I'm aware of unless it gets really cold. Then you might see one. A few guys here have reported a random code once in a while but I don't see many.

I would disconnect the power over on the passenger side of the engine bay right at the relay.

I live in south Florida don't got to worry about cold but how many power supplies are there to the grid

Single lead. Follow it back from the heater to the relay and disconnect it there.

you don't want to cut them out, you should pull the whole plate off and remove the screws like Richard mentioned. They are staked in and will be a huge pain to remove, but it is a necessary evil if you are going to attempt to do this mod.
