rattling from the clutch. After installing my double Disc clutch my buddy said my truck sounded like a big rig. Just my two cents.....

My 6.7 sounds pretty bad guys, the new HTT exhaust and 64/71/16 turbo really does like to talk. Idle or running at any speed down the road... I need to try and setup a Utube account and post some of my beast running...

I have a buddy that has an 07 5.9L with a 4" exhaust TBE with 7" tip while mine is the 6.7L 5" TBE with an 8" tip and it is as loud or louder than his just several opinions i have been told by other friends. The 8" tip helped the sound a whole lot from the previous 6" tip, now it vibrates the change in the cup holder when you lug on the accelerator.

This setup I am running right now is working quite well. It runs awesome to say the least. Still messing around with setting on the Smarty for as the power setting. Just getting a feel of everything...

I ran power setting #8 today and it towed really well, as expected... The funny thing I found today was I had more boost pressure on #8 than I have ever seen so far... I had a very strong and solid 45 psi boost when pulling hard and the truck locked in 6th gear really well...

Freakin' truck has really changed alot with the HTT- Turbo and manifold... It runs through out the gears really nice also with no hicchups spittin' sputterin', very hint of smoke out the tail. Just runs really great...

Funny thing happened today was a guy in a older Ford 6.0 pulled along side and was going to zoom by me going up the caprock grade on hwy. 180 going west. Its not a long grade, might be 1/2 mile straight with a sharp turn at one point that you have to make and then hit the grade again, all total about 1 mile...

Needless to say the 6.7 while in tow out pulled the 6.0 Ford... My freakin' truck almost seemed if it was slippin' the tires somewhat as she chewed her way to the top of tyhe caprock... I pulled on the 6.0 all the way up, all the time the 6.0 was huffin' smoke really good and losing miserbly all the way up the grade... Just got to love this 6.7 once you get things all happy together...

Hi jeb,
Just FYI if you are not running a drive pressure gauge I would give it a quick look and see where you are at.Going to a higher tune will result in more drive pressure witch in turn will cause higher boost.I know there is other things that will raise boost levels also but its worth looking at just to be on the safe side.

The guys who think the 6.7 sounds like a semi....have you ever owned a straight piped 5.9?
It sounds so much meaner and more like a semi IMO. I miss my 06 5.9, simply because of the sound. Other than that, my 6.7 has it beat.

Booost,

My 6.7 with this new HTT turbo dude has all the whistle and then some of the OTR trucks that I have heard. This turbo on my truck is really something to listen too... It talks to everyone and from any RPM range also... Pretty awesome I think, for you that might not like the turbo whine or whistle will want to add the silincer ring to this turbo... Its not for the weak LOL...

Ronnie,

Dude I have the drive pressure hardwired in the cab all the time since the second headgasket LOL... This 45 psi boost I had today while on the #8 power of the smarty was the best I have seen yet, at that boost reading I only had 50 psi drive pressure. Which at this kind of throttle percentage, was the closest to the 1:1 ratio I have had yet... I was not WFO but I was in the throttle hard going up the caprock grade and I was watching things close to see just what things were doing...

The worst thing I saw was that my EGT probe has went south on me and I need to get another... That and I now have almost 5psi drop from the fuel lift pump, through the fuel filters I have before hitting the CP3... So, I will be changing the fuel filters in the next day or two also... My truck is really starting to finally come together and making a great haul truck dude...
