Well I took my truck to the dealer after I called and talked to them. Thay said they would warrenty my clutch to 3 years 36k. I had read on here several times that they would only do 1 year 12k, but I ask the lady that does the warrenty work and the one who makes the appt to make sure they both said yes it would be coverd. Today the service guy calls me and says they won't warrenty it And it would be $1900 to put in a new one.
I told them there was no way that I would pay them to put
another piece of crap like that back in. The best part is I just ordered $1300.00 worth of tires for it

Have you decided what you are going to replace the stocker with? I am in bad need of a new clutch myself. Mine slips when under a load. You have to really soft pedal it when hitting a decent hill. Let us know what you decide on. Thanks

FWIW, I've been in the shadows reading alot on the clutch upgrades so I'll be ready when mine says good by, and to me the Valair sprung hub DD would be my choice. The only variable would be the pressure plate load.

I'm another one who is "in the shadows" reading these posts since my stock clutch has been slipping a little when under load, too. I've learned that I can tow OK if I "feather" the go pedal and build up speed slowly, especially when in 5th or 6th. Eventually, she'll have to be replaced, though and I'm trying to decide between SB and Valair. I would want a clutch that feels like the stock one but has a little more "grab" to it since I'm never going to mod the truck. All I want is a clutch that will hold up a reasonably long time and is a good niche above the stocker..
