I believe I broke the housing on the original filter while using a strap wrench to remove it. It was really hard to get moving, and once I got it off I found I had the wrong filter, so the old one went back on till the correct one showed up.

I went to a Cummins store right next to the interstate and bought the new filter with housing and a replacement filter for $34. I had gone to Autozone and they quoted me $124 but they had none.
