ATS or Suncoast

Aight guys i wanna put a trans in my truck in like a month no problems with my edge and mp8 stack yet but when it does i want either a ats or suncoast fully built trans which one is better just got off the phone with ats and they said that by the end of summer they will offer one for our 6.7s

ive heard nothing good about ATS but like the guy above me said.. do a search on the forum about what people think about ATS... take a look at suncoast and goerend!!!

Also look at HTS. A good buddy of mine has one in his 5.9 and puts 800+hp to the ground and pulls/races/dynos and hasnt ever had a problem.

I haven't heard anything bad about Suncoast. In fact, I ran into a guy from FL that had a Suncoast in an '01 and he said he loved it. He said that he beat on it day in and day out. Towing heavy loads and didn't take it easy on it.

I can't say I've heard the same of ATS.

i have a realy good friend that knows the owner of suncoast in fort walton beach... he had had all of his trans done there... they are the ones that i am going with... the last time we sent them a trans he got it at 9:00 and had it back to us by 2 very fast and great work... but of course this is just who i would sat to go with... good luck with your choice and keep us informed....

I don't think anybody has a complete trans for the 6 speed yet though. I think I am going to go with the clutches and tc from Suncoast.

I talked to dave about a month ago after my stocker went out on my 08 and he hasnt done anything with those yet. i did a awesome job on the trans in my 12v thanks, jr

Always check out what the top guys are running. Lots of records have been set with Suncoast. I'm for Suncoast, Joe Webb set mine up and he was a world class individual. May he rest in peace. My trans has held for 70,000 plus very rough miles. The suncoast shop is top notch.
