Hey guys I have some good news for those of you that have the cat full message.
We have been playing with the test truck all day and have been able to make the cat full message come on and a few minutes later we were able to make it go away. were at the shop making a few changes to the program and will spend the most of the night driving trying to get it to act up so we can find solutions to any problems that may come up.

I wont be able to reply to any questions because we will be leaving the shop in a few minutes.

The solution will be in the new module due to the time issue if we were to stop progress on the new module to come up with something to fix the old module we would fall way behind in testing.

Hang in there guys good things are coming soon

Thanks for your patients
Shane

Shane, can you be more specific? Is the fix for cat full message a new *non* code free module or only in the code free module?

Yes, It will be code free completely. I saw there test truck tonight. Its alot more to it then i thought it would be. The fellow that they have working on it seems to really have a handle on the situation. anyhow, they are making progress and thats what matters

We just put a few hundred more miles on the test truck tonight and everything is working great so far
Our programer will write the program in the morning for a few small issues that we found tonight and we will see what happens tomorrow (saturday) hopefully by the end of the week we will have something solid that we can build the beta test units off of.
In the test truck we have never seen more than 14mpg stock for the past few days we have seen a solid 16 in town and tonight on the highway from baytown to the east side of beaumont and back we saw a solid 18mpg at 75mph and 19-20.1mpg at 65-70mph
The mileage seems to be getting better the more miles we put on it.
I will keep you guys posted
Shane

Great News, but What do you consider stock? Air intake, 5"TBE and no programmer?

Brand New Cat Full Off the Lot

My 08 truck had 504 miles on it when I drove it off the lot Saturday (Business Link manager was driving it to show people allegedly), overhead said CAT FULL and check engine light was on. Service was closed due to Saturday. Dealer agreed to scan it on Wed when I take him the replacement tire on my trade in that I blew out from hitting an enormous pothole the day I was supposed to make the trade but instead ended spending three hours at a tire dealer who was closed for 3 hours due to Good Friday and the special tires on the trade were not within 200 miles (yes, I was mad and yes, I am calling the mayor's office on Monday since they were closed on Friday and yes, that will be a fun call to make).

Anyway, 40 mile drive home and within 20 miles, Cat Full was gone. I made three more trips that day (hey, there are always errands to run, right?) and I noticed the check engine light finally stopped too. So, not sure what that all means, but truck seems to run ok.

Flashes and codes--are you guys asking the dealer for a list of what they are doing? Is there a specific thing to ask for or just "give me a list of codes and flashes that you are doing?" For a brand new truck, build date of 8/07, what is the latest/best flash that I should have?

Thanks! Looking forward to contributing good input as I get more miles on it.

Foutain Puller, Just take the time and read. there is a ton of info on this site. By reading in the 6.7 forum, you will find answers to all your questions and learn a heck of a lot more. I know I did.

Stock truck meaning just the way it left the dealer.
The test truck has a aux. fuel tank in the bed and a brush guard but other than that it is completetly stock and would never get above 14 mpg.

The flash is something that will not be an issue in the very near future and those trucks that truely have a flash related issue will be corrected.

The test truck that we are using has had cat full issues before we ever started testing on it and was the deciding factor for testing on this truck
If we could get this truck to act up then we would know for sure that it was the module doing it. The truck never displayed the cat full message the entire time we were testing until we made it give the cat full message with our test equipment and then we were able to make it go away within 20 minutes. There is something going on with the o2 sensors on these trucks and there is a recall on the o2 module on the frame rail some dealers are validating the info and some are saying they have no idea what we are talking about.

I am about to go for a drive and do some more testing on the truck I have the latest update from our programer and we are confident this will be the one that sets everything in motion for beta testing so everybody start praying.

Friday i put my BADP 4" tb on and drove it for about 30 miles then the Cat Full message came on. Doesn't really bother me i just crank the radio up. Shane is the new module going to be the same as the old one? And what is going to be the price difference? Thanks, and i'm loving the exhaust.

I thought so, but I wanted to be sure. This is great. Can't wait

I am one of those guys who doesn't want to juice my truck just yet. But I want to whistle at the women and grawl at the rice rockets!

Maybe get a few extra mpg!
