There should be a Stock setting coming available from Smarty within a week or so. Then you can see what your mileage is with your foot not tuning involved. Just deletes.

You have to unplug that EGR. I still have mine on but unplugged and I got 16.76 HC (OH read 17.8) with my trips to work and two traffic jams of over a 1/2 hour each. Next time I got 18.41 (OH read 19.1) with one traffic jam. This time I hope to get better since so far I have not had a traffic jam.

well, i personally have a hard time believing 22+mpg on any of these trucks. maybe downhill with a tailwind. the best i've seen is close to 20mpg highway, unloaded. i have a megacab dually 4x4 with the G56 and 3.73 gears, which runs just like the 4.10 in the auto. what tranny do you have? rear end gearing? 2wd or 4wd? cab configuration? and what flash?

That is definitely low there 101, especially with stock tires. What are you running your smarty at?

I would say you are a little low, but not too bad. I have seen as high as 17.8 1x but my running average is 15.6 so far @ 34,000 miles. all of this is hand calc'd and I did find my speedo was off a little from the factory. I reset it with the smarty about 16,000 miles ago.

What kind of tire pressure are you running? On my old 2500 I ran about 75 in the front and 60-65 rear.

How about the map sensor? some have had good results with cleaning the soot out of it.

I've only run the smarty on 1,3 and 5 so far with default timing. I haven't noticed any real mileage difference between any of those levels.

just a few ideas,
jeff.

Its crazy to see how diferent everyones truck runs i cant figure why any if you guys cant at least break the 18-20mpg mark i cant figure why your milage is so low i mean the winter fuel will bring down you mpg . since i bought my truck personaly it felt stronger an run beter than all my buddys 6.7s so i gues i got the one truck that has no problems
