EGR and Cooler Delete Clarification

Sorry guys I have read all the threads and I am just as confused as I was before on what exactly to do with the EGR part of it for my truck. I know to remove the cooler and block off the exhaust manifold and run a new coolant hose. This is the part that im not sure about do i remove the throttle plate or the gears in the motor? With the Edge Race i just unplug the egr valve and not clear the codes?

by throttle plate your meaning the butterfly plate inside the inlet end of the Intake horn correct? you can do either but removing the little gear should be fine the plate is spring loaded to the open posistion so taking out the little gear will allow it to stay open and probably a little easier

The butterfly plate or gear are only removed if you have DPF delete AND code clear. I the gear is pulled and the DPF is in place, the regens are no fun at all. Lightning bolt and stumbling.

I have had my DPF deleted for awhile now and my Edge Race just showed up yesterday so it will be installed tomorrow. Then Ill remove the butterfly plate and cooler.

I can also remove the servo motor along with the EGR valve correct?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions until YOU are satisfied with what you are doing. It took many hours of reading and asking others on this forum before I even unplugged the EGR. After that... well I'm still playing around.

When YOU are comfortable then you will move forward.
