Edge race and smarty
Anybody running a race j/a stacked with a smarty? Is it even possible? Id like to run smarty for its features in dealing with the deletes but i want to run the edge for its features the smarty don't have like a turbo timer, monitoring, safety back downs, switch power on the fly, etc. Thanks, Mooseman

Mooseman, I am running the Edge Juice with attitude with my Smarty. I run the Edge on ZERO and leave it on zero and turned the timing to stock timing. Then I installed the Smarty and just used the Edge for the gauges, and Smarty for power, you still get all of the features; gauges, turbo timer etc... I would NOT recommend stacking the Edge Race with the Smarty. Run the Edge for gauges and use the Smarty for the power, but I wouldn't in a million years even think about stacking the two...... That's a no brainer. Mike

Maybe switch between the two for fun but never run the two up together. Truck go BOOM.

Why don't you want to use the Smarty for your power? Just curious... Mike

So let me get this right you basically wanna pay 700 bucks to not have your check engine light on, check codes, and enable high idle....cause thats all smarty is gonna do for you if you dont want to get any power from it.....

I can just see me telling the lovely wife. "Hey hon, hold on a minute here, I have to reprogram the truck because we just dropped the trailer and want to go tour." (five minutes with Smarty as long as it is warm outside, longer if you have to warm up the truck so the grid heater doesn't pull down the voltage, and twenty minutes with the XRT) Or conversely. "Wait a minute hon, I have to reprogram the truck because we are going to pull the trailer over to that pump out station." With the edge, poke poke poke and three level change. As far as paying for code free, it's worth it to me. And with the Smarty and Stealth deletes, if the gubmint ever decides we all have to get our tailpipes sucked on, I can load the half power.

Having the Smarty set to a higher HP has nothing to do with USING the power. YOU have total control of how you press the skinny pedal. I safely run all the way to SW7 and have no issues. I have the HP & smoke, available IF I choose to. Normal driving is just a slight pedal push. The higher the sw setting the less pedal I use. I figure on sw9 I would set a feather on the pedal.

So D2B, tow with the trailer and tour without the trailer can be done with max economy for both on one Smarty setting?
