right because the "less" aggressive the TM the more it will allow the near 100% of fueling that the pedal is calling for. example if you major restrict TM like a -2 if you will, you would be at full pedal and high RPM's before you would reach 100% fueling but when you decrease the restrciton on the TM the quicker you hit that 100% fueling ratio. DOes that make sense. As we increase the TM on the smarty 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 the less MANAGEMENT is done thus lower rpms the sooner the power comes in. So basically when ya tap the little skinny pedal it is balls to the walls 100% fueling right now or there close. Whihch is why the TM is harder on trannies than say 1 or 2 at higer RPMS the trannies are already moving and not as much immediate force applied against them. Like a locomotive hell to get started but once its going easier and less stress on the drivetrain to maintain it.Edited for Speed is also a programmed consideration with more TM the truck does not fuel as hard at lower speeds

Correct here is a highlight out of the below articleAs with current petrol engine management systems, the driver no longer has direct control over the injected fuel quantity. Instead, the movement of the accelerator pedal is treated as a torque request and the actual amount of fuel injected in response is dependent on the engine operating status, engine temperature, the likely affect on exhaust emissions, and the intervention by other car systems (eg traction control). here are a couple decent articles with some explanations of things Browser Warning Browser Warning Not sure why these show up as browser warnings but they are autospeed articles

Does anybody have a dyno graph that actually shows any difference between the TM levels, as I haven't seen one?

I thought of the torque management setting as a filter. The lower the setting the less torque would go through the tranny to the rear wheels. I'm probably wrong on this but I thought this was what the user applied to save their tranny or clutch. Just my understanding but could be wrong.

there still is the same TM on the factory sticks which is what i drive, its just less noticeable because we control the shift points at the RPMs we want. which is why on a stock clutch you can smoke it fast on Level 4 it still allows the truck to fuel closer to the 100% thus bringing the power band in sooner. Imagine what would happen if there was no TM on are trucks as soon as you floor the pedal it would be 100% fuel at once you would break stuff and couldnt keep tires on her.
