The airdog II has an adjustable pressure regulator, uses the factory fuel canister (with a few mods) and has a slightly higher GPH rate. The standard 150 is sufficient for your truck, but it uses a draw straw in the tank that some dont care for, I have yet to have any issue with mine though. I would go 150, in my opinion.

You don't have to use the draw straw if you don't want to. You can get the newer setup for the Fuel Basket from AD or from Vulcan. I went with the Vulcan for my Air Dog 150

The AD II is worth extra money for the easier install. It uses a dual port for the gerotor intake that makes it alittle quieter. Not only does it have an adjustabel regulator but it is also a demand flow setup so it doesn't return as much fuel to the tank since it isn't pulling as much based on need.

The thing I don't like with any of these fuel pumps is the mounting locations. Behind the front wheels on the frame is a very dirty location, I wish there was way to mount them somewhere cleaner.

Keep in mind, I live in Alaska.

Not trying to hyjack, I think this question is related to the subject.

I mounted mine on the inside of the frame just because of that reason.

2Tone, glad to see you chime in.

Have you folks experimented with other locations for mounting?

Have you thought of any type of covering device for the unit?

IMHO Alaska is going to be a VERY harsh environment for an Air Dog, or a Fass for that matter. We can have months at a time when the roads are coved in snow / water, with sand or mud and pee gravel.

The underside of a vehicle really takes a beating up here, in the winter and spring.

TY
