DPF delete and Service Rq'd, See dealer now Message

I finally did it. Built a downpipe and ran 4in pipe all the way out, just used OEM tailpipe. I got the temp foolers from RSD. I started it up and all was good, no overhead message. Went to go far a cruise and got on it, just to make sure it's loud enough and ding ding, the overhead says Service Required, See dealer. I'm guessing this is because I don't have the pressure fooler made yet. Am I correct? Truck ran fine, still seemed to have 100% power. I don't have a code clearing device. I didn't check codes yet either. Any ideas or experiences are welcome. Thanks.

You can try to reset the overhead display. Turn the ignition on fully depress the brake twice and the gas pedal three times and then start the truck. This worked for me.
Mike
And you should look into a Smarty from Rollin Smoke Diesel!!!

You can clear the OHD & dinger by hitting the button each time. Gets to be a PITA on long trips every 20 miles.
I got mine to go away with the Pressure SIM. Look in the DIY link in my signature for details on how to build one.

Yes a Smarty or XRT will also do the job.
W/O one of them you should also have the O2 sensors installed. Only fool the EGT probes & PS.

Sure everybody has $600 or $800 laying around.
The FACT is you don't "NEED" a smarty or xrt those are a nice luxery for those that can afford them, c'mon guys . To fix your problem you can try the pressure fooler or go with a cheap OBD2 code reader/clearer from the parts store (about $50) this will keep your overhead happy from a few hundred to a thousand miles at a time.

What's keeping you??

Even if you provided the Ghetto fooler that can be taped up would be better than nothing. Many of the guys on here have big meat hooks for hands when it comes to soldering.

Yeah I wanted to get a smarty but now isn't the time. I do have the two o2 sensors in and I went to radio shack today and got the resistors to make the pressure sensor fooler. The sticky you guys made up for the diy deletes is great. Thanks to all those who were and are willing to try things out and provide the info to the rest of us that have ideas but aren't always willing to take a shot in the dark. And man do these 6.7's talk when you get 'er workin.

I've had this problem for a year now. But I'm not trying to solder some resistors under the truck. Shibby, if you make an affordable fooler I will buy one for sure. I'm sure more people will to if you get the word out, I can't be the only one running a DPF delete without a tuner.
