Instead of buying a code reader for 50 bucks, look around for a edge insight or edge with attitute. I got my insight for 100 bucks off another member here. gotta clear codes each start up but thats better then having a cel on or the evic come up with those damn dings every 20 minutes. Ive been clearing codes now for 200k miles, never have any issues with dings or cels once the code is cleared each time.

Or if somebody can do the correct sims!!! so these problems wont arise

It's the old school way of deletes. Oldie but a goodie. I'm running that way right now. I don't understand the soldering under the truck. You can get pins at PepBoys or other parts stores that work. I did all my soldering on a nice clean table.

Nice catch on the Insight. I'd love to pick one up just to have for that cost. The SIMs are all available except the Pressure one. As you can see we may be brow beating Shibby enough to make them up.
I suggst ONLY getting the Shibby sims. H&S for some reason has changed their values to 100 ohms. That seems to have caused more problems than it fixed. James & shibby are making a killing selling Shibby sims to those poor guys that get the H&S kits.

Did you cut the quick connect off, solder the resistors in, and then connect the wires back with butt connectors?

The sims that do not cause a check engine light WILL eventually cause a problem. For some this may be 10,000 miles, but for others it can come as little as 500 miles. There are hundreds of variables involved in the equation but with the knowledge we have it is in our best interest to use 100ohm sims. In order for us to claim the product would work as advertised we have to throw a check engine light. The only true way to do any DPF removal is to do a tuner. The hours and hours of tech support spent on the older simulators was not worth the profits gained.

The way i see it is if my truck was a DD, i would get the black max. But for the people who dont need a tuner, the good ole fashioned way works, a code clearer and a few resistors or old school box like the gen1 like I have from BADP. I was one of the first buyers of there kits. Its not perfect like a tuner but I have no dings, no cel, a louder exhaust and I havent regened in over 180,000 miles. And i still dont blow no smoke!!!!! Isnt there a few gen1 boxes laying around in the classifeds??? Crap, just get those resistors and a code clearer. For 100 bucks, your good to go, minus the exhaust of course. But there is plenty of cheap ways of going about getting that

I'm running old school right now. EGT (330ohm Shibby version) & PS sims and egr unplugged. I'm happy with the results. No OHD messages & no CELs

I did make up the DP fooler sims and I still get the overhead message and dinger every 20 miles or so. Any suggestions? I don't have the bucks for a tuner!

Whenever I've installed my sims I always clear codes manually before starting up. Make sure your sim is installed correctly. In reverse and it will have a dpf full message. Do you have the 3 EGT sims in place?
List what you have in and removed please?

You Don't need a tuner,a code reader/clearer will turn off the overhead for a few hundred to a thousand miles.

that's odd, did you meter out your sim to make sure the values were as expected once assembled?
