I have to disagree RJP, I installed mine this morning, and after about 200 miles of highway, I had no trouble what so ever with the overdrives. I always run in tow haul mode, in hopes that that may increase pressure as well. Definitely not limp mode or whatever. It is a firmer shift, not neck snapping but just not as slow to shift. most noticeable in the 2-3-4 shifts. If something changes for me, I will sure as hell post it up though!

Yes you may feel that it shifts a little different but that mod alone does not have the capability to increase the line pressure enough to save your clutches.160ish is all that the tcm/ecm will allow before limp,My stock tranny would see 150ish pressure under wide open shifts, So that 10ish psi that you are gaining is nothing to help the tranny.I wish i could say what kind of pressure my suncoast test tranny is running but,i cant. Some guys will feel no change, and some will,My point on this is if your one that can feel a difference then you are likely to smoke your tranny because of the false since of a good tranny.

I hope you get what i am trying to get across here so that you don't end up like me.You will loose 5th and 6th in your tranny and it will happen before you know it.Trust me i did it three times before i meet RON at suncoast.

I started this tread and just came back across it this morn, so your sayin that this mod is bad for my tranny RJP? wondering if I should remove it now. I have noticed alot better shifts through all of the gears, especially 5th and 6th

I'm not saying that its bad,If you drive your truck normal and don't do wide open runs with the power cranked up.Its bad for the guys that run there truck hard and expect this mod to be the fix for there tranny. All it will do for those guys is wear it out quicker as the pressure increase is no where close to what is needed to hold the clutches from slipping.Unless of coarse you are not running a big hp tune.

I can agree with that rjp, but I leave the smarty on 1 and defaulted out on revo's, All I said is it is a noticeable mod in shift firmness. I think suncoast should send a test tranny to central texas due to the different climate here as opposed to east texas. See if you can't get em to send one my way so I can crank this smarty up! I hope I didn't come across to you as derogatory, just wanted to give a fair opposition with a stock tranny.

If it sends an allterd signal how can it go into limp mode if the computer dont know the real line pressure?
Wouldnt this kinda work like a boost fooler?

This is a very touchy subject that i cant really explain fully for it to really make since. The line pressure fooler does not play well with an already built tranny and modified tcm as it will put the tranny in limp mode on 5th and or 6th gear wide open shifts.Any further in detail would have to be directed to Ron @ suncoast.

You shouldnt need something like this on a built/modified trans anyway. I think most of us are lookin at our stock trannies.
