I wonder what the better route would be to go witha modded VGT or just a straight up 66 turbo. so is any one on here running one of fleeces 66's

Any pics of the new turbos? I like my EB so this would be a great mod for those of us that want a plug and play boost in performance.

If you want to shoot for the stars (ie. 700+ hp) then standard turbo would be the way to go.

But in my opinion the Fleece 66 spools quicker than a standard 66 and you get to keep your EB. It is hard to really compare apples to apples between turbos unless you have identical trucks. Indianafarmboys truck ran great with the Fleece 66. But now with the new cam can spool his new non-variable 66 just as well.

The Fleece66 looks identical to the stock turbo. You or "a track tech" could not tell the difference just by looking at it.... It is a "stock appearing charger". That's the idea behind it.

This new turbo sounds like an improvement over the stock design. Does the Fleece 66 turbo have the "silencer ring" on it? Does it make a lot more noise than the stock VGT? How much hp is it designed to support?

Seems like a bit of change for a swap of parts if you have to give them a core.......

mmmmm, 2000ft lbs. That's the kind of stuff I like to hear. Other than the fact that the rods would probably have to be swapped out, and the head would need to be fire ringed I'd say. I'm sure some dual cp3s could provide the fuel along with some 200+hp injectors from II. Speaking of fuel, I know it's a bit off topic, is it possible to run bigger crossover tubes to the injectors and get a loping idle like with the 24v and vp44 pumps?

It is an improvement over stock. The Fleece66 does keep the "silencer ring" because its more of an entire bushing then just a ring. It's hard to say hp support but probably 600. It's the torque thats killer. 600hp could easily be 14-15 even 1600ft-lbs. If we could ever keep a trans together we could have a better idea.

Yes and No..... the idea is to pack as big of a punch as possible into a "stock" appearing turbo. From the outside they are stock but yes the insides are all replaced, milled, and exchanged for bigger and better parts.

Not to be a kill joy here, all this talk about a bigger compressor is sweet , but if you
change one thing don't you have to change another. If you start running a bigger
compressor, wont that raise your drive pressure, and maybe even your egt's? Not trying to kill the mood.
I just wouldn't want to blow a head gasket.
