nah the housing goes on pretty easy. If you look towards the bottom of the housing there is a little hole and on the turbo there is a pin that sticks into that hole. That lines everything up. Putting everything back on was easier then taking off lol.

What is so weird about the internet/forums is that we do all these mods that make our trucks sound better or louder but the one thing we NEVER DO IS RECORD BEFORE AND AFTER? Why is that? Some people might S$%# when they hear it and go do it. I'm going to wait but it is one on my list, but please someone record this so the rest of us know what the sound difference is, some on the wall might just fall off!

I will try to get some sound/video once i get my new iphone setup. Hopefully tommorow sometime. It sounds awesome, basicly it sounds like my buddies silver bullet 66 on his truck.

Track time comparisons with and without the ring would be good to see. Dyno session would be cool to see also. Good luck at the track!

There isn't a dyno here in these parts that will fit a big truck like mine, or else I wouldve done it. But that guys right, it sounds like a silver bullet. It's pretty wicked and was easy to do

The surging is probly comin from the pmt. I dont think removin the ring is what lost you the boost. Mine and my 2 buddies stayed exactly the same when we took ours out. Just got a whole lot louder and seemed to hit harder on top end. Just my 2 cents. did you like the sound of it removed?

I removed mine today & while I had the housing off I painted it in satin high temp black paint.

I used a small punch to knock the pins in a bit, then drilled them all the way thru. My drill bit got "lost" a little bit so I used the same punch and tapped the remainder of the pins out, flipped it upside down and gave the thing a few taps and it came right out. I then sanded some things smooth, cleaned the oil residue out and popped it back on. Easy cheesy

the cool thing is, if you want the thing back in, pull off your rubber intake boot & stick that piece back in there, simple as pie!

When I dyno next time, I WILL make a with/without run

for now, its staying OUT because i love the way it sounds
