they put the ring in because people were btchn about the noise polution just like the coal a rollin out the exhaust made the tree huggers cry

Do the cab&chassis 6.7's have a silencer ring? Because 2 of my buddies have 07.5 6.7 c&c's and both there turbos scream way louder than mine

Cab and Chassis boost more than a reg truck because there computers designed to keep boost higher cause a c&c is designed for pullin. lower egts. Get what im sayin?

I have my silencer ring out and it deffently doesnt effect performance. It seems more responsive and its ridiculously louder. But I also have the c&c ecm in my truck so this why shes louder. We took my buddies out anditslouder but not nearly as loud as mine. I still peg 38 psi with it removed and i love having it out. People driving beside me ask if i have twins all the time

mines been out for 30,000+ miles. and im definatly lovin it!!!! a lot louder and no noticable performance loss..... if any thing a little more bottom end torque........but not sure,no dyno runs to back it up.... maybe its just the noise i LOVE...............

when i get back from the river im def taking it out. im just worried about taking the housing off and not knowing how to put it back on
