but my super secret 6.7L aside, i was way off here. i was thinking about foam silencer baffles. i dont think anyone should mess with the actual ring on the turbo. why chance performance an reliability (its deisgned to have one) for a little noise? i pulled my foam baffle because it is indeed foam. no good if it ever dries up and breaks apart. i used to have a CAI and sold it. nothing like 15psi howlig under the hood non stop for 4 hours on a loaded run to dallas
someone on here said he talked to a holset turbo designer/tech, or whatever he was, about our turbos and said it was only for noise, and that no performance or anything else was affected. maybe he will chime in again and give us the scoop on what the guy said

Ive read the same thing, I also think someone dynoed this before and after and said there was no difference either.

i have stock intake with an s&b filter too. pulled the baffles out and drilled 10 holes in the bottom of the intake for more air. man it sounds good building boost up to 10psi. after that its not so much a whistle, its a roar!
