Subwoofer box behind Megacab seats???

Hs anyone on here built and/or installed a subwoofer box behind the rear seat in the Megacab??? I am not looking to put a monster stereo in this thing but I do like to have a quality sound system. I have some JL 12W6s laying around and would like to know if there is enough room behind the rear seats to build a box for them???
Thanks!

There is plenty of room back there. I am willing to bet you could make a nice box with plenty of air space if you went sealed. I don't have a mega cab but I have looked into it. I have the jl stealthbox in my quad and it is nice. Heres the link JL Audio: Products

JL makes a nice box for behind the seat. You my look up Atrend.com they have a lot of boxes. I got my box for under the seat and it is nice.

Did you build that kicker box? Do you have any pics of your setup?

Nice guys! Looks like that is definitely what I am going to do. I built I nice box that fits in between my QC seats and the color matches the leather pretty well. It sits nice and low and has a 12W6 in it. I bolted the armrest/map storage (still flips up) to the box so it looks more factory. I know the Megacabs have the AC running through the middle so that is out.

it depands on the brand if you by one. there are many brands out there that are junk and a few that can make a junk speaker sound bada&&. i used a Pro-Box for my QC (under the back seat) i had two 10" kicker comps in there, 60 dollar speakers. it jammed,

a band pass is harder on a speaker but gives you the ILLUSION of a louder system.

Sealed is great if you dont have the space,

by far the best way to go is a ported box, but it has to be set up for that speaker, generic boxes dont work well.

i have had good shops build boxes for me that where crap. the only way to do it is figure it out for your self. 0.10cubic ft of space can make all of the difference. in the past i would end up building four boxes before i found the right one that worked for me. what is recommended by the speaker manufacture is not always correct.

i have built more boxes than you can wave a stick at. i have been through alot of crap and head ache. if you want to buy a box Pro-Box makes one of the best generic boxes
