I have a couple links for moving the tire into the bed. If you haul much then this would not be a real good solution. However it is better than nothing.

Rat Cage Spare Tire Carrier

XTRA TIRE Spare Tire Mount

Good Luck!

I have 5" turbo back with a 35" M/T spare, as long as you wedge the tire to one side when you crank it up you will be fine. mine only started rubbing on a clamp after like 30000 km, so i re tightened the tire and bobs your uncle.

To go along with what Mattiac said I have heard of guys using a motorcycle type tie down to pull it off to the side and help hold it while you crank it up. Then when everything is tight, fold up the extra length of strap and zip tie it securely up out of sight.

i wouldn't mind if the tire would rub up on the clamp but it is up against the exhaust tube. i'm pretty sure that it will get hot enough to melt the tire.

i'm gonna try to pull it to one side when putting it up tonight.
