Agreed, I tried to do it myself on my old chevy and it didn't turn out, ended up spending more money to get it professionally done, 2 things I wont touch is window tint and an auto tranny!!

I dont agree... I paid $14 to do my two front windows and it took maybe an hour or hour and a half. Nothing messy about it really just some wettness... Take your time and it wont look bad at all. Take the door panels loose and remove the inside strip thats along the bottom of the window that pushes on the window and its really easy.... dont remove the backing from the tint untill you have the perfect size cut... start by spraying the out side of your window with soapy water and place the tint on there and have the window half way down and have the tint hanging of the top of the window about half and inch ((oh make sure you have the tint facing the correct way so when you put it on the inside of the window that the sticky part of the tint will be against the window...))... take a blade and run it along the top of the window cutting the tint into a perfect shape for the window... then roll the window up and cut the sides down makeing sure to leave a little to work with... then cut the bottom off leaving it like 4 inches long so it will go down past the stripping that you took off... once you have the perfect size you just clean the inside of your window and spray it down with soapy water and then slowly remove the backing of the tint while you spray the sticky side of the tint with soapy water also, this will keep it from sticking to anything... then you place the tint up, get it lined up and squeegy the water out... I left the bottom strip off my windows for a week so i could still roll down my windows without messing up the tint untill it had time to cure... Pretty easy really, just take your time... and save a pretty good amount of money..

Here's me pulled over 2 years ago for tint. My buddy happened to be walking in the park and seen the bust so he snapped a pic. Then another friend passed by me as I was pulled over and called to bug me while the cops wrote up my ticket.

if you go to the website i have posted below it has all the state laws for window tint for anyone interested. just click on the STATE TINT LAWS in the upper right corner then scroll down to find your state! this might help you to if you want to follow the laws it could bust your bubble too if you want to follow the laws but have a desired darkness.
