Thats a little overkill if you ask me... Most people are just looking to upgrade the sound system not rebuild and customize the entire interior of the truck.
There are some good ideas in there but I dont have either the time or material to customize it all. I just want to fit the basics into what little space we are delt with.

As for the Cap, I still believe it is a must with any large amp draws, that is unless you like your lights dimming every time your bass hits.

It was a tight fit, but the rear speaker cross overs fit under the door panels. The fronts arn't so lucky and will be going under the dash on either side...

it IS a car audio site. I basically wanted to show you that your amps can go on the back wall. They will fit. We will have to agree to disagree on the cap I suppose. use it if you want to, But its just a bandaid for an inadequate electrical system. I have Memphis Belle amps in both my mustang and my Cummins with NO dimming. 1400wrms in each vehicle

I was thinking behind the rear seat but not sure if theres enough room. Does anyone have any advise on the best locations to hide all this stuff?
I was told that CD's are not going to be used any more In high end radios any more. They made it sound like CD's are going out like cesset tape and 8 track and every one just uses a I pod .
I would just put every thing on a I pod type player. And forget the Changer.

A cap is just a stored researve of energy for high amp draws. Is there a better way to fix the problem without using a cap?
Deep cycle batteries may help to an extent...

Larger wiring, bigger alternator. really shouldnt need either on a cummins rig

I mounted the amps on the back wall with self tapping screws. I was thinking after that this was not a good idea as I live in Northern Canada and there is alot of salt on the roads in the winter. I exposed the metal and invited in rust. Any suggestions of what to do about this issue would be great. There is not much room between the box and cab, I was thinking of unbolting the box to get to the back where the screws came through and sealing them somehow...

Sealing the screws is a good idea. When I did mine I epoxied a board to the back of the cab wall, then screwed my amp rack into that. The amp rack weighed well over 100#'s and hasn't budged.

You use a cap in a passenger car cause theres not alot of reserve power...

The best ways to fix the problem without using a cap are to put in larger alternator, or a 2nd battery, or better wiring...oh wait, we already have those....
