High pitched sqeal?!?

Anyone hearing a very high pitched squeal when driving around 60MPH? It kinda sounds like it's coming from the drivers side engine compartment, but I'm not sure. It's not very loud, and sometimes it comes and goes, but it's enough to drive me nuts! (As they say, when you don't have far to go!)

I noticed it from day one, but today it seemed to happen for over 30 minutes on the way home from lunch.

Squeal, well I'll take a wild shot at it. Wondering if you have a vaccum leak. Does all of your A/C controlls work properly, and does the cruse contol work?

Everything works as it should, it doesn't matter if the air is on or off, and cruise works perfectly.

It doesn't sound (to me) like an air/vacuum leak. It sounds more like a servo squeal. It's very high pitched and the pitch is very steady.

Next guess?!

btw: I'm not guessing that it's a servo squeal, I'm an electrician, and to me, that's what it sounds like. (just to make things clear)

I'm no where near 2k, I cruise at 60mph at about 16 - 17k. Also, it doesn't seem to coincide with the a/c.

do you have an egr delete? If so how thick are the plates? You may have a boost leak.

No deletes, everything is bone stock. I don't have a clue about any plates or how thick they are..

I think it's still there when I let off the accelerator, but I'm not 100% sure.. that would rule out a boost leak, right?!

I've had the same issue on several occasions. It usually occurs when I'm accelerating but so far I've been unable to locate the source but I suspect that I have a boost leak.

Up or down, the tow mirror doesn't seem to affect it.
