I'm very happy with my Turbo-Liner.
On those little gouges I was told to just get the spray can liner from Walmart for touch up. I've got a can, just haven't done it yet. Too busy putting more gouges in the liner.

Never thought of putting a rubber mat in the bottom to help there. Pretty cheap at PepBoys.

Over the edge is the way to go. Looks great and good for grp when climbing up into the bed.

If you going to throw stuff in and use it as a truck go with a plastic liner insert. If your going to take it easy and show the inside of the bed off use a spray in liner.

thanks for the replies. Sounds like I have some more research to do! I can't baby the truck b/c I work out of it on the farm but I also had a plastic bed liner on my last truck and they aren't worth their weight. (Dented the bed next to the cab with a 250 lb protein tub. Thought it was going to be riding shotgun on the next hit!) Anyways thanks for the advice.

The biggest thing with spray in liners in the shop spraying them, make sure you find a reputable dealer. Line-X dealer where I live has done some shotty work so I'll probably end up going with Rhino.

I've had the same Line-X dealer put two over the rails in an 08 Ranger and my 07.

I just had them spray my rocker panels and inside the doors colour matched to my truck, it looks good and is holding up great so far, now to wait till the stones start to fly in the spring.

This is my third Ram with over-the-rail Line-X. I have not had one issue in ten years with the Line-X brand. Very tough, hard to scratch/gouge, and durable. My truck sees moderate use, but many engines on homemade angle iron engine stands have been slid in and out of my Line-xed beds with no problems. I have seen many softer bed liners and think that not only does the Line-X work better, it looks better as well. As mentioned though, the dealer that sprays it has huge effect on the outcome.

I just have the plastic bed liner for now. I know some guys with Line-x and they all love it and put it to the test. Still holding strong.

I went with the spray in liner for the non-slip properties. I've had plastic liners before. My stuff was banging all over the place unless tied down really good. Really exciting when backing a motorcycle down a ramp and grab the front break. Plastic liner, bike just keeps right on going. Spray-in stops just right.

Oh yeah, with a spray in liner now worry about finding it on the side of the road after driving in high winds.

I haven't had the problem with the front tire slipping yet but I always make sure I leave the bike in gear in case that does happen. Spray in's are so much better though.

There are some photos & more opinions in this thread:

Spray in Bedliner Over or Under Rail...

May help you decide which route you want to go.

Either way is cool, but spray in or drop in a 250 pound tub moving around is going to cause a dent when it stops.

if you are working it on a farm and work out of your truck as you say, I'd consider under the rail line-x, ameriguard, a hard liner and some steel bed rails Bed Caps something that can take the punishment... just my .02
