oh and the resistor will flow a small amount of current until there is no mor current to flow......the drain does slow down as the voltage across the cap gets lower

This would be sweet with my remote start!

Have you run it at all to see that it works well?

no the battery is unaffected because it is a switched power source that is hooked to the truck, so if the truck is off no power is applied to the relay
yeah! my bad. looked at the schematic again saw the ignition. my monitor at work is blurrrrrry. good work man! thanks.

I know nothing about wiring! If this works would you still be able to turn it on/off with the EB switch?

So for those of us that don't understand the wiring diagram, how do you do it and how hard is it?

ok well it does take a little time and some components to do but not really that bad, 1 standard automotive relay, i used three 10000uf capacitors (thats microfarads), 1 diode, 1 10K ohm resistor and a 10 ohm resistor. I will try to get some pics of everything up soon. you have to pull off the center bezel around the radio to access the exhaust switch. For switched power i just used the blower motor connection because it is easy to get to. you can ground it anywhere thats convenient. once again i will try to get pics up soon.
