would be sweet to get a quad cab and chassis on the long frame.
The 4500/5500 quad cab shortbed is 60" back of cab to end of frame. Longbed is 80". 80" is enough for fuel tank/tool box and whatever hitch you want.

Isn't it 60" from the back of the cab to center of rear axle and 80" on the longer version? My 3500 Q/C C/C is 60" cab to axle, they don't make a Q/C in a 80" I don't think.

Here is my C&C in April of 07, when I was in Kansas for the B&W Elite bed installation. The fenders were made just for the trip (1500 miles) and looked stupid but they kept the Troopers off my back. The picture is in front of Chanute, KS City Hall.

Just a little chassis cab info for those are interested.
The chassis cab frames are different behind the cab. The rails are industry standard 34 inches wide because all the work bodies that attach are 34 inches wide also. The 4500/5500 frame is different in front as well because of the heavier loads they can carry.
The Aisin Automatic is used so you have the power take off that can run hydraulics for a tow truck, dump truck etc.

Are you sure about that. I thought they were just a "bed delete."

My 07 is a factory C/C quad cab and is NOT a bed delete! The axle is not as wide, the cab to axles is a little different as well. So it would take some modification to install a factory dually bed on a factory c/c truck. Been there done that....
