Ya, I’ll stick with the Cummins, unless Caterpillar starts putting engines in ¾ ton and 1 ton light trucks. I’m not including the F-fords 6 and 750’s they are greater then a ton.

This was the problem with the mercedes. They ran like tanks all day in stock form, but as soon as you crimped the wastegate line for a little more power they'd crack heads like it was their job.....

But does anybody believe that Ford just rates the 6.7 at a different rpm to give the 260hp/620ftlbs. Like they are using the hp from the same rpm that they read the 620ftlbs from. Unlike how our engines hp is rated at this rpm when the torque is rated from another rpm? Not sure why you would do this but it could make sense why it is so low.

No thanks, I'll take the cummins over the Cat! Cat has all but thrown in the towel on the 07+ trucks. IN our fleet, we have had more problems with Cat's than any of the other post 07 emissions tractors. Leader in MPG wars and reliability right now is a Cummins 525hp ISX in an 09 Pete 386 @ 7.3mpg!
