I just replaced the cam sensor for the p0341 code. Drove around 500 miles and CEL back on and same code again.

NO WHAT DO I DO? Now I getting sick of this truck again.

Could be the connector itself or a bad ground of anything else that is on that same pig tail. Mine was the connector, just a little busted up. Don't throw the truck away because of one code. You're lucky it runs, the dmaxes and the strokers won't if it has a cam sensor code blow.

40-K MILES it should not have cam codes. I have spent hours going over every little thing and still not figuring it out. Plug still looks new and connector is tight. At least the 7.3 strokers I had before it was alwat simple fixes. Never have and never will buy a DURAGRAP. And this is the last new Dodge I will ever buy.

must be a rare truck!

Maybe I should list my truck on ebay as a RARE TRUCK, since nobody else has had a problem with the cam code!

Does Anyone Have A Clue?

I still can't figure this out. Now I have Casey with H&S trying to help me now.

I have gone for being able to haul around 300 miles before the light comes on to driving 50 miles loaded till the light comes on. Now I have noticed, right before the light comes on the truck act as if it is cutting out then the CEL is on. After light comes on the truck seems to run fine....

I hate to say this.....but... try putting everything back stock, i know it will take some time and it is a PITA. Put the truck back just like you bought it, DPF/ EGR, butterfly valve.... I mean everything. See if the truck throws the code then. if not, unplug the egr, see if it throws the code. if not....... Delete the DPF, and so forth. try to narrow down what may be causing this issue. like i said it will be a PITA, but could help narrow the options down. I really dont feel like it would be the XRT, but could be something in the programming that is screwing with the computer.

I guess I will have to do that. I was thinking of trading up for a 4500 at the first of the year any way. Guess it might be now.

I think it is going to be something with the updated XRT, I hate to say it but the only code I was getting before the update was a p2262 code. which I was told a turbo problem.

The bad news is I got that same code today, p2262 with the tuner still set on 120hp. The same is has been on since the updates.

New truck here I come.....

I had/still have the 0341..doesn't affect my peformance any just the tach doesn't read correct sometimes. I replaced the sensor a couple times, so my guess would be a bad connection.

Don't speal too soon!

Well after talking with Casey at H&S we figured out that they can not find anything wrong with the calib on the XRT.

But for sh**s and gigles I reset the truck back to the 60hp setting and have towed 3 or 4 time with NO CODES and better fuel mileage! So my thinking is there must be something with the calib and matching it to my truck causing a problem on higher settings.

We are going to put a few more miles on it this weekend all towing and see what happens, if everything is fine, I am going to see if Casey can set my XRT back to the original program or send me another update. All of the latest codes came after the update from H&S. But the good news is I have the only problem child so far...
