Need Exhaust brake help

I recently purchased the exhaust brake kit from the dealer, I went to install it this past weekend and the entire install went smooth until I got to the part where I needed to tap the wires under the hood into the main harness. The picture in the instructions shows a different style connector than what's installed in my truck. The wiring layout is totally off.

So where do I go from here? Anyone have a chassis wiring diagram of the early 6.7's? I just need to figure out which wires to pull and replace so I can get my exhaust brake enabled.

I'll post some pics up when I get home to show you the difference.

I know someone on here said they installed the exhaust brake kit on their trucks, I'm just wondering if you ran into the same problem...

I know someone on here said they installed the exhaust brake kit on their trucks, I'm just wondering if you ran into the same problem...

Well when I did my install I had 2 problems....First I dont rember the color of the wire (orange maybe) that gets connected behind the spedo. I could not get the connecter apart So before I broke the plug I just cut the orignal wire and taped into it with the orange wire...

Second the big plug under the hood. The colors of the wires that they wanted you to remove was not that color in my plug???? I checked to make sure I was in the right spot, counted the terminals to make sure I was correct and than pulled the wires and connected the wires they wanted you to.
THE PROBLEMS realy started when I took it to the dealer to get it turned on. Three times and the finaly got it right, due to the fact that a member on here that workes at a dealer figured it out . I printed out the post and took it to the dealed and told the service mgr just have the tec follow the directions. What I rember is that they had to add the EB to the trucks ECM?? and then go through the inable set up.
being that our trucks did not come from the factory with a EB ....its not in the ECM.

I will look for the old threads if you need them.

The one behind the gauge cluster wasn't so bad, I got in there with a dental pick tool and released the pin and slid the new one it. It's the ones for under the hood that have me stumped.

Any info would help greatly! Were they in the C&C forum?

That is not the connector I have?????? I have what is shown in the instructions. Both of my trucks have the same plug. The 07 and the 08. Yours must be a early early build date? What is the built date? Is there any two wires the colors they ask for?? This is where I had the problem. The color of the wires they asked for I did not have. But I copied the same terminals and that is where I pluged in.
look for the colors first. There is a guy on this forum that was alot of help. I will check and see if I can find him .

Updated Flash Problems/Enabling the exhaust brake instructions...

I dont know if the link is right???
My 07 is built in 12/06
They should tell you the colors?? I dont think a wire diagram will help unless you new where the wires went? I will look at mine tomorrow and see what the colors were that i removed,

I can't really make out the color in the instructions. Do you think you could take a look at your or maybe even a picture? If I get the right wires swapped it should do the same thing.

My truck is a month older than yours, I guess at some point in that month they changed the connectors.
