Fuel additives????

So does anybody on here run fuel additives during summer months, winter? If so, what? Does the cummins require something only in the winter months like my old Ford 6.0?

cummings, or what the rest of us commonly refer to as "Cummins" doesn't require any additives be used with exception of a anti-gel or biocide when necessary.

i personally use power service's diesel kleen year round

Put your truck details in your signature. No additives are required. Here are test results. Make your own decision on what you run. Don't run anything that emulsifies water (diesel kleen).

It's #10 on the list with a 61 micron improvement in lubricity. At least it's not in the 'worse' category like Marvel.

Sounds like someone should make sulfer additive, I have a couple cases of synthetic twostroke oil that are gonna burn now.

Sulfur is not a lube.

I use power service. I'm not using it to increase the lubricity of the fuel as it has enough lubricity already.

2stroke oil is not an anti-gel or a cleaner.

Sulfur has been used as a lubricator for longer than I can quote. Lead has been used as a lubricator, too. Remember the days before hardened exhaust valve seats. Do some more homework....

Why do you use Power Service? Obviously, there must be a problem with the fuel that you use.

I am not sure of the ingredients of the different 2 stroke oils, but I would guess that there is something in there that could effect gelling and cleaning.
