Ok, title of thread says it all! I have taken this photo and would like someone to explain in plain english just what needs to be done on the C&C ONLY for each item that has a number. Unless I missed something this photo should show all the parts involved in a DPF delete. I have my 5" turbo back exhaust waiting to go in but I would like to know for certain how to adress EACH part in the photo..... ![]() [IMG] [/IMG]

1 and 2 get taped/covered up and tucked out of the way, permanently. 3, 4, and 5 are the ones that get spliced into for the potentiometer. Refer to one of the other threads for the specifics. Leave the "a's" alone. I haven't done mine yet. Tried to but ran in to pipe fitment issues. I've read enough here I think I'm right, not 100% sure though.

Ok, can someone PLEASE verify that these are the correct items I need to make the home-brew work on my C&C? The 1K is for the pressure sensor tubes and the 330's or 470's are for the 3 pyrometers? I was planning on starting with the 470's first since those seen to be the most mentioned resistors in all the posts. I have read so many posts on here with so many different methods I would really just like to make sure I'm not about to mess up a brand new truck!! All input accepted...... ![]() [IMG] [/IMG]

on the pickup truck 1k first egt probe closest to the engine, and 680 on the other two but in theory double the resistor so it shows twice the heat and you wont even have to put them back into the pipe

I Was Under The Impression That You Use 470 Ohm Resistors On All Three Egt Probe Connectors If You Are Not Going To Put Egt Probes Back In Pipe.

1 and 2 get removed Unplug 3a 4a 5a and remove the temp sensors I used a 5k pot so im not sure about the resisters Just make sure you have 3a 4a 5a at .50 volts or a little under and you should be good

Ok, finally got time to put up a couple of pic's from my DIY DPF delete.... I decided to just install the 470 ohm resistors in each of the female plug ends for now. I am going to put some heat-shrink over the ends to seal them off tomorrow....here is a pic... [IMG] [/IMG]I also installed a used 5.9L Magnaflow 5" turbo back exhaust on the truck today also. I still need to re-weld two of the hangers but other than that I was able to make it fit the 4" longer wheelbase of the C&C 5500. See pic.... [IMG] [/IMG]Last but not least is a pic of how I capped off the two pressure tube ports at the sensor at the top side of the tranny.... [IMG] [/IMG]

oh yeh....almost forgot! Only getting 1 code so far - P0405 thats because of the EGR delete. I am able to clear it with the SMARTY from my 5.9L truck and once I start the truck I have NO CEL or any lights at all.... ![]() Just to re-cap: I replaced the complete exhaust system with one for a 5.9L from Magnaflow and I do mean from turbo back to the tail pipe tip! I have no bungs or anything attached to this new exhaust. It's installed just as it would be on a 5.9L truck. I installed a 1/2 watt 470 OHM resistor in each of the three temp probe female plug ends. These locations are numbers 3a - 4a - 5a in the photo at the start of this thread. I simply unplugged the three temp probes and installed the resistors in thier place. As for the pressure lines numbered 1 & 2 in the same photo, all I did was remove them at the sensor (upper passenger side of tranny) and used two rubber vacum caps to cover the ports. That should cover it for the C&C trucks.
