I talked to the service center at the dealership that I bought my truck from and they said that they do not have the technology to change the span and or percent range of the transmitter within the tire. What he did say was that if I buy a tire with the same load rating, in most cases "E", that the rated tire pressure will be the same. The key is that you place the transmitter in the exact same place. I dont know for sure but the 35" toyo mud terrain that I like is definitely a 10 ply with the E load rating. Am I to assume that the rated max pressure is 80psi. If it is then there should be no problem getting to the same pressure as the stock tires thereby satisfying the TPMS right?

yes they can. they just dont want to look for it in the star scan. had them do that with my cousin's truck when i put on bigger tires for him. i sat and looked through every option with the tech and found it for him when he looked passed it. and the guy you talked to is wrong. just because it is a load range E does not mean that it is 80 psi. those that are 80 psi are labled E1 in reallity. E2 is 65. D1 is 65. D2 is 50 ect but yes if its E1 then you can satisfy the TPMS

It is most certainly possible with the StarScan. BADP Trucks changed my tires pressure limits to 50psi, to satisfy my D rated BFGs.

HELLO I think if you did 65/50 during the day it might just be high enough once cold to keep the TPMS happy. It is a real pita here in the desert. We have large temp swings and the sun heats up the tires on one side from parking orientation. This makes the pressures uneven and trips the alarm as well. And like the Emission $hit BYE ------------------------------------ steven view for free communication |

![]() I have my best results setting LL in 1st thing in the morning. After sitting overnight and cool. I do not go as hi as you are suggesting. The uneven pressures from the direct sun & high temps are just too much. I do 60/45 cold for LL. Then I just accept the dam light after driving awhile.

Agree with dad2bike - spare doen't come into play until mounted & rolling. Service manager said check the spare - checked with the tech he said on some trucks yes but not the 2500. Big temp swings here in Nebraska lately 30+ degrees in a day....have always been able to get my tpms warning light to go out - couldn't get it to go out this last time. So trk is in for it's first new turbo today @ 21.5 k...AND also getting a new TPMS control module.

My truck did not come with sensors. Can I purchased these from the dealer or somewhere and have it programed into the truck?

I don't knowif I'm doing something wrong when trying to activate it or not. When I push the button it flashes five times and then goes out. Is the light supposed to stay lit once activated? Comparatif mutuelle sante complémentaire |Devis complémentaire comparatif mutuelle sante |
