Mods With Dpf Do You Bother

So what do you think, is there a much of a point in getting to far ahead of your self with mods if you still have the dpf rattling around underneath the truck. Bite the bullet and loose the dpf for a decent exhaust system or wait for warranty to be over with before doing this??
Love the truck....except for exhaust....just want to make it better.

I heard that one (or more) of the dealerships down there is mod friendly. I would have a quiet chat with one of the service techs and see what they say about the DPF and EGR deletes.

i have a buddy that is a mechanic at the dealership and depending on who you talk to and the time of day you get a whole lot of diffrent answers. Some say doesn't matter what i do to it and others are telling me that if i do anything they won't even warranty a u-joint. Go figure, but at 10km a month i only got 6 more months to wait to do what ever i want i guess.

mod away except for any fueling mods until the dpf is mia.

my 02: if you dont have emmission testing id delete dpf/egr
your truck will run cleaner, stronger, better mpg and will last longer

Get rid of it.. They can only void your warrenty it they can prove your aftermarket parts caused the part to fail. Sometimes you have to remind the Service writer of that!

Added a programer, air intake and unplugged EGR! Runs fantastic! 22mpg achived on the highway hand calculated. I can re-flash back to stock and plug the EGR in for trips to the dealer!
I am planning on adding a power puck soon!
Oh yea, REGENs only occur every 450 miles or so!

I am beginning to disagree. I recently did away with my EGR cooler, and EGR valve as well as the intake flapper and this has caused nothing but a huge headache, looks like I will have to reinstall of the components again. I now have a problem all of the time with the ETC light on on the dash and my throttle input is constantly dropping out!

With out having something to clear codes you will have the ETC light, until they come out with a code free egr delete.
