WORKS GREAT!! tons more air up front, and still get some to the back, just not near as much as before. i honestly think removing the screens would have been enough. why those are there i'll never know. would love an explanation from the "engineers" that designed this worthless system. those do nothing but block a lot of air flow and also collect dust and dirt. anyway, i am super glad i tackled it today and didn't wait for cooler weather. now i can enjoy the cool weather in my truck. just thought some of you may like to know i got it done and if your thinking of doing it, go for it. it's not near as bad as it sounds.

It would've been great if you have some step by step instructions and some pics.. not necessarily the pictures of how to do it, but may be which part needs to come off and such..

if rear AC is not a concern for you i bet simply duct taping the rear ports shut will increase front air flow. I did this to my Wrangler when I ran the roll bar through the dash and it went through the AC duct work. the air that came out of the center vents after taping the side vents off was increased substantially.

nope, the screens have to come out. they block way to much airflow. i tried blocking the rear vents and only got more noise is the main box due to air backing up, but not being able to get out of the screens fast enough. since removing the screens, not only does it blow FAR more air, but it is much quieter doing it. also i did want to retain some airflow to the back. but now instead of it being like 50%front & 50% rear, it's more like 90% front & 10% rear. the screens that need to come out are totally visible once the dash is pulled back. just trim them out with a razor blade. i can post what needs to be removed if you are interested. i forget the different nut sizes, but that's not hard to figure out.it really isn't a hard job, just time consuming. well worth it though!!

2007.5 3500SLT, Mega Cab, DRW, 4x4, 6.7l g56, entire exhaust fell off had to replace with 5"ss turbo back, oh yeah, the egr was blocked off somehow. sure runs good though!

here is a link on another forum to the dash removal. he outines everything very well. he did it for the blend door problem, but as i said the process is the same. once the dash is removed, the screens wil be fully visible facing straight up just before the air enters the main dash vents. i think the two nuts that were attached right behind the steering column nuts were the hardest to see. just get under there and look up, then you see them easy. you can't miss them. let me know if you have any more questions.
